It’s time to start planning a road trip if you don’t already live in Toronto. On October 13, 2007, Hogtown will host the World Rock Paper Scissors Championship at the Steam Whistle Brewing Roundhouse (255 Brenner Blvd., Toronto, Ontario). At stake is One Million Dollars $10,000 in prize money. And from what I can tell, this is very serious stuff.

There’s even a website dedicated to the sport game, and the rules are as simple as you remember them: rock wins against scissors, scissors wins against paper, paper wins against rock, and Dick Cheney beats them all. That’s it. It’s that simple. Start training now, register and pay the $40 entry fee, and you, too, could have a shot at the title “World Rock Paper Scissor Champion.”
